A diary of a wildlife photographer in the Finnish taiga, documents the brown bear’s seasons in the Finnish taiga through images and the photographer’s own reporting. The volume is organised as a sort of field journal: day after day, night after night, the photographer describes his encounters with the plantigrade species; the observations, the endless waiting and the reflections gathered during the course of long nights spent in camp, waiting for “the right shot”. A field journal that begins in spring and ends with the onset of winter. The text, brief and written in the first person, alternates with the images.
